If you’re an atheist, you’ve probably already heard that there’s a big party happening in Austin Texas at the end of March (this month). This is no small thing. The party is actually the American Atheists’ 50th Anniversary Celebration and National Convention.  There will be speakers, exhibits, a silent auction, and among other exciting opportunities, a costume party! How cool is that? I’ve been to skeptic costume parties before and talk about  creative. So I went back and forth a bit with Dave via email – he’s the PR guy at AMERICAN ATHEISTS – and  he gave me a list of some of the more than 50 speakers in attendance. Check this out:

  • Former California Congressman Pete Stark
  • Twisted Sister lead guitarist Jay Jay French
  • A.C. Grayling
  • Katherine Stewart
  • Matt Dillahunty
  • former pastors-turned-atheists Teresa MacBain
  • Jerry DeWitt
  • and many more…

Of course, no American Atheists celebration would be complete without the man who pwnd Fox News’ Sean Hannity last Holiday, President David Silverman.

I would highly recommend anyone who wants to be part of american atheists history to make a personal appearance at the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Here are the details:
